“Awake, awake, put on your strength, O Zion, put on your glorious garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city.” (Isaiah 52:1). ?
It is the will power hard work of Bro Joachim Kannampuzha and some others the Congregation of MMB extended their activities to the state of Tamil Nadu. God made instrument Sri. Antony Kannanaikkal, a prominent industrialist of Coimbatore, for this purpose. He offered his 6 acres of his land for Ashram and home for the aged. Zion Illam, the house for Brothers, is inaugurated at Selvapuram East, Combatore, the Konku Land on April 16, 2002. In the beginning this house was functioning near the institute of Sri. Antony and it was shifted to our own place on September 28, 2003.

A home for the destitute aged men was started on March 31, 2007.  The new building was constructed and blessed on March 13, 2014. “Zion Illam” has been protected more than 200 hundred needy senior citizen and 32 of them are called to eternal rest.  Now Zion is one of the main asylums of Ramanathapuram diocese. At present 21 destitute aged men are spending their last days with comfortably and peacefully. Bro. Cletus Chittilappilly is the Superior & Manager of Zion. Bro. Daison Mylakhachalil is the Assistant Superior & Assistant Manager of Zion.
